The biggest ; 67 kg my yours trully in 5 minutes and 5 seconds , the smallest ; 33 kg by Ky Doucet in just over 3 minutes .

Congratulations Pak.Jon on the Biggie. Is it the season now for the bigger fish as I see that you all seems to have better catches and also bigger fish.

I remember in one of your posts saying that the Tuna come to the surface to feed only for a while then sound. Can I ask if your crew have tried chumming to keep the fish near the boat.

There is a cool guy in S.Africa who goes out round trip about 100miles in a small rib with twin 40hp. He and his friends target YFT for spearfishing and a little fishing to. Thye free dive and shoot big YFT so much so that sometimes when the fish are about 40 to 50kg they won't bother shooting as they consider them small.

He locates a surface school and keeps the fish around his boat with chum. I will send you the link to a pst from him so you can see the size of YFT's that they shoot.

Tuna disappeared on Sunday , after 2 solid weeks in the area , now the waiting game starts again ! May be you should fly to JKT the next time I holler TUNA !

In Pelabuhan Ratu , you cast into the school and soon other boats , be they are other sportfisherboats or mini purse seiner will be all over you , no way to chum like you suggested .

Ky hooked up a fe moment after I did and boated his fish within 3 minutes
and thought he caught a big one , when my fish was boated a few minutes later , his fish look dimunitive , to say the least .

They are off to Menado now , let's see if they do well there because last night Menado was shaken by 5.8 Richter scale earthquake .
