9x80x20kg=??? Gimana g habis tuh...
Terus terang selama ini gua baru praktek CnR billfish saja. Ikan2 lain masih diangkat..
At first, I just wonder the avatar flag you have. Never seen before. But after a little bit 'investigation'...., The Western-Samoa, is it ?
I believe that's a wonderful country and magnificent for fishing also.
Please do participate to post your fishing experiences, would you ?
It must be great to hear about the fish in the Samoan water over there....! Never been there though, but it is very beautiful islands...!
pak johan: gak sih gw cuman mo tau aja apa kalo tuna juga di cnr soalnya paling kan kalo pemancing cuman dpt paling banyak 4-5 ikan doang. sedangkan kalo di banding dg yg di jaring spt di gambar itu kan jauh. dan jg saya pribadi blom pernah cnr emank karena gak pernah dpt yg gituan ..... paling 9-12kg aja itu pun gak tiap kali mancing dapet so ikanya gw buat pesta ..... kalo billfish gw rasa perlu soalnya species ini sangat dikit sekali. ok thanks banyak

Pelabuhan Ratu is a fishing town located on the south coast of West Java some 3 hrs driving from Jakarta , those YFTs are medium sized fishes because during the peak of the season , we get the much larger fishes .
hello Sportfisherman , nice to meet you.
I also like popping and jigging. that place u mean is it near Ujong Kulon ? i have been there twice, just try bottom fishing and trolling only.
wau ! u say u guys caught much larger YFT there , when is the big YFT season there ? they charge how much per person in a trip. ?
thanks a lot for your info.

Ujung kulon is in the west, and Palabuhan Ratu is at the south. We caught those Yellowfin Tuna by popping. YFT are available year round there, as long as the weather permits. Big size will be 60-80 kgs. The peak of the season will be december to february. Boat charge is about $350-$500 for a day, that will be inboard diesel or 2X200HP outboard.

May I know where is this place and whos the charter contact?
Also, would be useful if you could let me know the following:
1. Price of Charter
2. No of days
3. Type of fishing that could be done
4. No of people that the boat can accomodate
Ujung Kulon is on the western tip of West Java while Pelabuhan Ratu di almost mid way between Ujung Kulon and the border of Central Java ,
Cilacap is the city in the border .
Big YFTs season is usually occur toward the end of the westerly , I wud say generally during the months of February n March but this year , the season has been somewhat late and abnormal .
Charter boat in Pelabuhan Ratu charges around IDR. 4 Million or to put it in US$. term , just little more than US$. 400.- per day . Tackles are not provided but drinks and snacks are provided , Tips are optional .
The boat you saw in the thread is not part of the charter fleet though , to charter that boat , you are likely must budget around US$. 1000.- per day . It's a Black Watch 40 with Tuna tower and rigged for serious tournament .
Popping is very popular now but jigging still need to be investigated , myself I am not that fond of jigging , especially when the water is deep and current is strong . 250 gr. jig is my upper limit .
