Ini ada lagi advise dari mereka yg sdh pengalaman mancing 'bekka' disana:
"Lod, remember the assist hook also need wire leader. I heard some from Singapore members said all the black Jig out of stock in Singapore how about your area ? If you interested to buy the White Rabbit Jig i can check for you cos very hard to find in Kuching too.
"
Dan ini komentar yg lainnya:
"Use long jig so less chances of bekka bite your leader but it still happen cos sometimes they just hit for fun. sometimes i even have to downsize my wire to 2olbs to initiate a bite, mono definetly good but the jig survival rate will be 1-3.
dont worry to down size your setup cos there are in the speed department and not much on the power tug.
The only thing you must worry is the person fishing next or down current with you
. Teamwork and is very important if the feeding freenzy is on that where organiser or team leader come in to arrange the spacing and even organise a que if the boat are too crowded. Drop jig or bait , strike and move to the side and the next person move to the drop zone.
Only then with continues hook up and without much broke off then the bekka packs can be maintain.
If not lot of swearing and loss of braided line due to bekka speeding cut off.
Another way to prevent bite off is try not to have many loose drop while jigging.
jig fast fast then stop then fast without slack drop that when they usually go for your swivel or ball bearing( try not to use the shinning type) and try dress up your assist hook with rubber squid or colour skirt to attract their attention.
Another safety advise is BECAREFUL when your jig almost reach surface of when you lift the jig on board that when they sometimes make they final jump to hit your jig, even unattended rod on rod holder with jig hanging also get attack and it is not uncommon to have bekka jump in boat during their feeding frenzy so watch out for incoming from the air also.
Some pic from the westmalaysian team on ahchai boat."
