I'm very interested, since I'm a beginner in Fly.
Maybe someday if you let me, I want to visit your pond.
I will bring my Fly + Bait casting (using lure) outfit too.

i have invited them..when they are coming im not sure...but they will.
dun worry when everything is ready ...the door will be open and everyone is welcome...but before that i have to test the water condition, and make sure the place is safe...i do not want any Preman or Jagohan causing any trouble there. yup you are expected to bring your own equipments...since i dont supply any.
ok ..as a beginer what is your weakess department?...let me know see if i can help you out. if its casting then ..rest asure i give you some tips.
but dont expect me to teach you long distance casting cos i dont do that. most beginners are taught to cast far...as far as one can. to me that a waste of enegery as you get tried quite fast. its better to do soft casting..sort like 20 meters on 2 to 3 strokes. soft presentation is the key since we do not want to scare the fish away while trying to empty your fly reel. i have seen many old gentlemen in their 60s or 70s casting for hours without getting tired....so the secret is soft , gentle and easy on a light outfit.
of course you have seen many flyfisher who try to impress the crowd by casting to the far bank...this dude will not catch any fish ..this i asure you and i guarantee he will be tired within 30 minutes.
and another thing is if the fish do strike ....they will strike about 10 meters from you 9 out ot 10 times...so what the point of casting far?
if you practice short distance casting your skill will improve greatly as you did not pressure yourself to to do a long cast.
the thing to keep in mind is....this is a sport between you and the fish....you are there to outsmart the fish.....you are NOT there to impress the crowd or friends with your fly outfit of casting skill. the sooner you block Showmanship from your mind...the better chance you will get that fish.
