Hi Bob,
Early December is a good timing. The fishing season in Binuangeun area starts in November and finishes in May. I my self with my "gang" will go fishing over there on November 3 & 4 .
Fishing techniqies most commonly apllied are trolling ( it is a must), bottom fishing and jigging. Popping is only performed when there are schools of YFTuna or you would like to spend some time around Tinjil Island! Baits for bottom fishing is squid and mackerel. The captain or the owner of the boat shall buy the baits for you. Have enough sinkers weighing 200 to 300 grams! By the way, you should ask the boat owner to lend you enough trolling rods and reels, so you bring only your lures (Rapala or Kona Head).
MV Robby is one of the largest wooden fishing boats in Binuangeun. I have not used it by I believe it is in good condition. I know the owner (Mr. Achmadi).
I hope the information supplied is hekpful.
Regards!
